Employer Recognition Breakfast
Businesses Honored for Hiring Workers with
Developmental Disabilities


Westchester County Clerk Timothy Idoni congratulated all employers in the county who have partnered with Westchester Arc.

HAWTHORNE, NY - April 24, 2009 - Westchester Arc’s Employer Recognition Breakfast honored more than 26 local businesses and civic groups this past April for their support in hiring people with developmental disabilities. Guest Speaker Timothy Idoni, Westchester County Clerk, discussed the importance of employing individuals with developmental disabilities. The Clerk's Office has a longstanding partnership with Westchester Arc in that it not only employs several people with developmental disabilities at its offices, but also contracts for services with eDocNY –Westchester Arc’s document management business.

Other honorees at the event ranged from retail stores to community organizations and schools. (See complete list)

Michael Greenebaum, a long time employee of the Zodiac Cafe in Neiman Marcus and Brian McWilliams, employed at A&P in Montrose, received the Anthony Cannata Memorial Employee Award for inspiring others to work in the community.
