Zooky the Clown entertains the crowd.
Over 50 families attended the annual PACDS (Parent Assistance Committee on Down Syndrome) picnic held August 5 at John Dowling Park in Yorktown. Guests enjoyed beautiful weather, carnival games and a rousing game of softball. Special guest Zooky the Clown entertained the crowd with balloon sculptures, magic, jokes and other fun-filled activities. A personal friend of the group, Zooky donated three hours of his time to the event.
PACDS helps new parents of children with Down syndrome to understand their babies and develop their full potential. Monthly meetings give parents the chance to ask questions, share thoughts and experiences and have family playtime.
