8th Annual
Golfing For Kids Honorees

The Cox Family

The Children’s School for Early Development is proud to honor Keith and Jazmine Cox for their commitment to children with developmental disabilities and their families.

Keith Cox, an American success story, is the guiding force behind Cox Nissan, the only Nissan dealership in the Bronx. He is guided by two important principals; being hands-on in his community and being hands-on in his business.

Keith and Jazmine personify the term, “Giving back to the community.” They have been avid supporters of the Bronx Charter School and support numerous neighborhood youth programs, including Y-Corp and the Morris Avenue Community Basketball League and local Little League teams as well as community churches. Keith also remains a steady participant in numerous public community forums. In the summer of 2006, Keith was honored with a letter of recognition by Mayor Bloomberg, for his achievements and contributions to his community.

In his role as a successful businessman, Mr. Cox has been named one of the Top 100 Auto Dealers in the Nation by Black Enterprise Magazine three years in a row and in 2005 and 2006 made Crain’s list of New York’s Largest Minority-Owned Businesses. He has also received numerous awards for outstanding sales and customer satisfaction from Nissan North America Corporation. These awards come as no surprise to the thousands of Cox Nissan customers who have come to expect the personal touch Keith brings to the running of his shops.

Two of the Cox family’s daughters attended classes at the Children’s School and Keith and Jazmine are delighted at their girls’ progress. They attribute their daughters’ gains to the school’s staff and programs. Keith and Jazmine feel extremely fortunate to have had the experience of working with the school’s exceptional staff. The staff transformed their anxiety into hope and joy by continuously involving them as parents through every stage of their daughters’ learning experiences.

Keith and Jazmine have been members of the Golfing for Kids committee since 2005 and they have helped bring the event to a new level. The Children’s School is thrilled to be honoring such a dedicated and supportive family. Congratulations to the Cox Family!
