Come join us on Saturday, March 3, 2012 for a day filled with information and resources for people with developmental disabilities of all ages and their families.
This is an opportunity to attend presentations of interest, network with other families, browse our vendor fair of information and services throughout the county and
state, and view our new art show, Zooming Right In.

This FREE event will take place at Arc of Westchester's Gleeson-Israel Gateway Center and art gallery—Gallery265. Pre-registration is encouraged so we can plan for the day. Complimentary continental breakfast will be served and a pizza lunch will be available to purchase. Spanish-speaking individuals will be available. Space is limited.

     Childcare and Sibshop are provided with pre-registration only.

New technology is all around us. This session will inform and demonstrate how these tools (some of which you may already have) can help children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities learn to read, stay in touch and get from here to there. From iPads to Facebook to GPS on your phone, come see how they can work for you and your family.

What you always wanted to know about your student entering the
world of work.

Join Lori Calandruccio, Director of Arc of Westchester’s Young Adult Employment Program, as she speaks about preparing students leaving high school for employment opportunities.

ADULT SIBLING PANEL    11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Opportunity for adult brothers and sisters of individuals with
developmental disabilities to come together and share experiences.

A Lifetime in the Arts
Presented by: Dr. Tina Brescia, MT-BC, LCAT, Director of Onsite Services,
Music Therapy Institute, Music Conservatory of Westchester. Two Music
Conservatory participants perform and talk about their connection to
music and what part it plays in their life and career.

SIBSHOP SEMINAR   12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
Peer Support in a Game-Filled Setting

A fun-filled setting for brothers and sisters of individuals with
developmental disabilities to come together and share experiences.
This is intended for ages 7-12.
