Volunteer Opportunities

Administrative:
Locations in Mount Kisco, White Plains or Yonkers

Assist in: copying, filing, sorting, light typing, agency mailings, promotional events .Volunteers for this position are usually not directly involved with program participants

Available volunteer hours:
Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Observes major holidays.

Pre-School:
Centrally located on Route 9A in Hawthorne.

Assist a teacher with a specific task, work one-on-one with a child who has special needs and/or interact with a small group of children

Available volunteer hours:
Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Follows the public school schedule.

Full Day Session:   9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Half Day Session:  9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. or
                            12:00 noon - 2:30 p.m.

Adult Vocational Services:
Locations in Mount Kisco, Ossining, Peekskill, Port Chester, White Plains,  Yonkers

Provide tutoring in a specific topic of your choosing to an individual or group.

Assist a teacher with a specific task, work one-on-one with a an adult who has developmental disabilities and/or interact with a small group.

Available volunteer hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Observes major holidays.

Residential
Forty locations throughout northern, central and southern Westchester.

Become a special friend and enrich the lives of an individual with a developmental disability through activities such as:

Watching a movie
Sharing a meal
Reading a book
Attending a sporting event
Visiting a park
Going to a museum

Available volunteer hours:
As a volunteer in one of our residences, you set your own schedule. Whether it’s a Monday morning or Saturday afternoon, you’ll be welcomed into one of our homes with open arms. Individuals may volunteer as many days/hours as they wish.

Internship credit is available for all positions.
